Oktoberfest 2018! September 30th from Noon to 8 PM

It's that time of year again: Oktoberfest is coming! This year's event will take place at the brewery on Sunday, September 30th from noon to 8 PM.

We'll have new 1/2 liter steins from two local artists who have made steins for us every year: Stephanie Dukat and Rob Lorenz. We also have a limited number of previous years' steins. New steins are $45 and older steins are $40, both include your first fill as well as unlimited soda. If you do not wish to purchase a stein, Scratch goblets will be available for $5 and include unlimited soda. Mason jars for non-drinkers will also be available for $5 and include unlimited soda. We do not do flights during our Oktoberfest, just half or whole liter pours ($5 and $10 respectively). All tickets will be cash only and available at the door. Celebrating the incredible artists in our area is part of the goal of our Oktoberfest each year, which is why we have handmade steins for sale by local artists. If you have purchased a Scratch stein in the past, you are welcome to use that stein to enjoy beers throughout the day without purchasing a new one. Posters designed and printed by Jared Davey will be also be available for $15. Our Oktoberfest is a celebration of German-inspired beers made in the woods here in Ava, Illinois. It marks the release of our Marzen, a German-style lager that we brew in the traditional way in March and lager until this event. This beer is made with Pilsner, Munich, and Vienna malt from our friends at Sugar Creek Malt in Indiana, and hops from CL Hops in northern Illinois. It is a classic easy-drinker, crisp and delicate like the fall, and is one of our favorite beers that we brew each year. Here is a full menu of beers available for your enjoyment:
