The next bottle release at the brewery is Sahti, our classic Scandinavian-inspired dark beer brewed with juniper branches. It will be available for online reservation on Monday, January 1st at noon.
This bottle-conditioned black ale was mashed in an oak puncheon through a bed of juniper branches and brewed with additional branches during the long boil in our wood-fired copper kettle. This beer possesses a chocolatey malt base with a unique, cedar-forward aroma and flavor, in part derived through wort filtration. It's packaged in 750 ml bottles at 5% alcohol by volume and is ready for your enjoyment now or can be kept in your home cellar for several years.
Tickets to reserve the beer are $1 per bottle and you may reserve up to 12 bottles (or a case) for $12. The bottles themselves will be $15 each when you come to pick them up at the brewery with a reservation, or $17 without. Tickets go on sale Monday, January 1st at noon and will be available for reservation online until Wednesday, January 3rd at midnight, or until the reservations are filled. After that, bottles will be available on a first-come first-served basis at the brewery. To secure a bottle (or a case!) make sure you reserve ahead of time. You will be able to pickup your bottles when you're out here for this year's Bonfire and Botanicals festival as well! (While bottle reservation fees have been donated to local non-profits in the past, we are changing the way we do donations this year and will no longer be donating specific reservation fees to individual non-profits. More on this later)
You may pick up your bottle during our normal business hours starting Thursday, January 4th through Sunday, February 4th. We have very limited space so any bottles not claimed by February 4th must be forfeited. As always, you will be asked to show ID and your ticket when you come to purchase your bottle. THANK YOU!
