Sunflower Bottle Release

Just in time for spring, we are releasing a bright sunny beer appropriately called "Sunflower," brewed with sunflowers from our farm!

This bottle-conditioned farmhouse ale contains the essence of Scratch. It was brewed with malt from our friends at Sugar Creek Malt, Illinois-grown hops, sunflowers grown and harvested from our farm, and fermented with our wild house culture. The leaves and stalks were used in part for bittering and the seeds were dried and toasted in our hearth oven before being added to the fermenter. This beer has an incredibly unique herbal component and a toasty finish reminiscent of cacao nibs. It tastes a bit like chewing sunflower seeds on a grassy green field.

Sunflower will be available at the brewery starting Friday, March 29th. Come celebrate the warm weather with this little spring gem!
