Anniversary Postponed & Coronavirus Update
A message from Marika & Aaron: As you probably know, due to the unprecedented steps we are all taking to curb the spread of the coronavirus, bars and restaurants in Illinois have been ordered closed for on-site consumption through the end of March, and possibly longer. We will not be holding our anniversary party as planned and will reschedule for the summer or fall. Those who have pre-purchased tickets will be getting an email about their order today. (If we somehow missed you, please send an email to info@scratchbeer.com.) We are following all of the recommendations of the state of Illinois and the CDC in deciding how to proceed in coming weeks. At the moment, Scratch is open for to-go sales Monday through Friday by appointment and Saturday from noon to 5 PM. To purchase beer, you may call our landline at 618-426-1415 or email us at info@scratchbeer.com and we will meet you in the parking lot with your order at a time of your choosing. Saturdays you may also call for service (no email on Saturdays, please) or simply show up in our tap room to pick up beer. We will be regularly sanitizing all door handles and surfaces or will leave the door open, weather permitting.
Since we will not be refilling your own growlers from home at this time, we are waiving our growler bottle cost. That means you can fill up any beer on our menu at the growler fill price, and of course we have a number of bottles available which were packaged months ago pre-coronavirus. We will not be serving food for the time being.
Many people have asked about other ways they can help: purchases on our website, gift certificates that can be redeemed later, and bottle sales from our tap room are the best ways to support Scratch at this time. We thank you for your support now and in the last seven years. We plan on getting through this together with the sacrifices of everyone nationwide. Marika & Aaron
